Start at the parking area at the end of Alton Mountain Road and head to Precipice Path where you climb up the waterfall for a wonderful view of the Griswold Scout reservation area and then up to the main trail where you head to Mount Klem and spectacular views of the Big Lake. Head to Round Lake, a true mountain lake and then back down via Mount Anna.

Straightback Mountain Trailhead · End of Alton Mountain Rd, Alton
Free. Alton Mountain Rd is plowed in winter, though the plowing may stop short of the trailhead - there's still room to park. No restrooms.
